Yes, sometimes it really is the little things in life that make you smile. I have been reading Victoria Magazine for years. As sad as it is, I was a little bit devastated a few years ago when they stopped publishing. I was thrilled two years ago when I spotted it on the stands again.
I am not sure exactly what captivates me about Victoria. I suppose it represents a touchstone to very different elements of my life...the aforementioned Gogie's homemaking and the Nana and Pa inspired life abroad.
All I know is that when a new issue comes, it goes straight to my nightstand and I wait for a couple hours of quiet and pout through each page and lament what is missing from my day to day life and am enfused with desire to plant and cook and grow and create. Quite a wallop for $20 a year.
