My hoo hoo can talk too....and it says "SHUT THE HELL UP HIPPIES"
Below is a blow by blow (cough cough) of the latest vaginal expressions of those pilars of femininity, Code Pink...Thanks to an Eagle for the text below:
That guy called me Horse pucky! That's the nicest thing [sniff] anyone's said to me in a long time!
A fundraiser was planned at a community college featuring an
awards ceremony honoring members of Code Pink.
The ceremony and fundraiser was organized by the local chapter of Women
in Black. What grand honor were the WIB bestowing on Medea Benjamin,
Jodie Evans, and Gael Murphy? VAGINA WARRIOR AWARDS on
16 Feb 2008.
The unfortunate twist to this farce was the fund raiser was for the benefit of the local Rape Crisis Center.
Arrived at the college around 6pm. There were already some out-of-town GoErs setting
up flags on a small round grass median at the center of the parking lot. The local police set up yellow tape barriers along the entrance way to the auditorium to keep opposing sides apart. Over the course of the night our numbers grew to roughly 50. There were only 5-6 on the other side holding up a banner.
Locals, who came only to see the play, filtered in. We estimate their were about 150 guests. We handed out flyers to some of the guests. A few of us Freepers tried to apprise the guests as they entered that
they were about to get much more than they bargained for. That there
was a lot more going on than just witnessing "The Vagina Monologues".
We tried to get the point across that we understood they were
contributing to a good cause by attending the play but do NOT clap and
become participants in Code Pink's anti-American anti-women agenda when
they receive their "taint"ed awards.
The play's music director, not associated with WIB or CP, was upset about the whole anti-troop agenda of the event, and wanted us to know he had nothing to do with it and deeply regretted getting hoodwinked into their program.
Some of the
GoErs took a different tack and berated everyone that passed our line.
I tried to get some of them under control but to no avail.
Code Pink made their usual "fashionably" late appearance. Some of them doing some silly tribal peyote induced dance. GoE kicked into high gear as we all did. We had our fun. But you know, Code Pink feeds on that sort of thing. Parasites. Emotional Vampires. "Vagina" Terrorists.
After
the event started we milled around for at least another hour. Not sure
when it was supposed to end. We had a GoEr (Carolyn, NJ Coordinator)
clandestinely go inside (bought a ticket) and filmed
what went on. We wanted to stick around and get a report before we
left. Also while we waited we took up our own collection for the Rape
Crisis Center. Managed to collect $237. Had the receipt made out to
GoE.
During this time people were leaving the event well before it was over. Some of them crying.
Carolyn came out around 8:15pm. Filmed all of the "festivities" that preceeded the play. Sounded like a laugh riot from here description...
"Let me give a report on my undercover trip into vagina-land..."
They were about a half-hour late getting started...First up on the program was a 45 minute performance by a local belly-dance troupe. They were actually quite ok, but I thought that that was a rather odd choice of entertainment for a rape awareness event - belly dancing is a very seductive and sexualized dance form. I would have thought that this group of feminists would have regarded belly dancing as being demeaning to women - it seems they should have had a bunch of male belly dancers up there.
Anyway, next up on the program was Code Pink. They started their presentation by showing a slide show of all of their anti-war activities; impeach Bush, illegal war etc. NO ONE clapped, no one cheered. Not a good reception for medusa and her boys and girls. Then they called medusa to the stage to receive her "vagina warrior award". Medusa started her speech by referencing the "people outside" who were protesting the event. She noted that one of them had called her a communist. She then went on to talk about how Code Pink was interested only in world peace and prosperity, healthcare, clean environment, no illegal wars, good education blah, blah. Again - NO RESPONSE from the audience.
When she was done there was a polite clapping. Then she and her Code Pink troupe performed a stupid song, a parody on "someone’s in the kitchen with dina", which they sang as "someone’s in the kitchen with george". It was about the Bush administration in the White House kitchen planning wars - again NO RESPONSE from from the audience, other than polite clapping when they were done. The program then went directly into the Vagina Monologues. Having completed my mission, I made a hasty exit. The last thing I saw was some woman lying on the stage acting out trying to "find her vagina" by using a mirror to look at it. Oh Lord save us!!!!!
In summary - the Code Pinkos received a VERY chilly reception from the audience. Two more women left right after me. I heard one of them say to the other that the organizers of the event had no idea the pinkos were going to pull that anti-war/bush/america nonsense, and that they were very angry about it. This was definitely a LOSS for the pinkos and a WIN for the patriots!!!
